The longest roadtrip, 36" of Snow and Sister time

My little sister had her little girl, Iris May, January 28th. She was just perfect. Unfortunately little Iris had to come home with a Billy Blanket to help her jaundice.I forgot how little and light 7lbs is. She's just like a little baby doll. Kelly is doing such a good job.

My dad, step mom Brenda, Joshua and I loaded into their minivan at 8pm on Friday night and drove 14HOURS through a snow storm to go and meet Iris and help Kelly any way we could. For the most part - Joshua slept through the night and he did really well. Unfortunately, I cannot sleep in cars so after we go there I was exhausted!!!!! And my child was very well rested. The trip is supposed to take 10 hours but since Snowmegedon - as they were calling it. The most snow Pittsburgh had gotten in 10 years - and yep we decided to drive in it.When we got there - my sister Christi (who lives in LA) had flown in for the birth of Iris was still there and we got to spend an extended visit since no flights were leaving PA until Tuesday.I don't get to talk to Christi much since she works way too much to live in LA and when she's not working - she's at the beach or doing fun stuff like being on a Food Network Cupcake Wars...lol. It was nice to really get to talk to her and spend some quality time with her.
Everyone was OVERWHELMED at how big Joshua had gotten in 2 months. He got many nicknames from this trip... one being "Moose." He's getting so big and will be 5 months in two days - I can't believe it. He's been a little fussy this trip but he's out of his element and not on his schedule - I hope that we can get back on it soon when we get home. Here's some quality sister time and time with "Oba" -which is the name Christi is being called instead of Aunt Christi.
